The new year started off with a bang on New Jersey regulated online poker rooms with every tournament over the weekend with an over $10,000 prize pool crushing its posted guarantee.
Eric "BOBBY_DIGITAL" Patrick was the weekend's biggest winner in the Garden State after he outlasted a field of 352 players in the partypoker NJ/BorgataPoker.com $50,000 Guarantee to win $12,686. New Jersey's "BreadCrumb" snagged $8,990 for finishing in second place in this tournament.
Other notable players to make an appearance on the final table included CardRunners instructor Michael "Gags30" Gagliano (fifth place - $4,470), Jimmy "Bagels" Lillis (seventh place - $3,062), partypoker Ambassador Jamie "JamieKerstetter" Kerstetter (eighth place - $2,358), and AJ "Chips_Jammed" Ten Hoeve (ninth place - $1,661).
New Jersey's "fresh33" also won big this weekend, shipping the WSOP.com/888poker NJ Sunday $30,000 Guarantee for $9,391. Cody "OohKILLemm" Cluff banked $5,478 for finishing in second place in this tournament, while Charlie "seedload888" Zimmerman collected $2,435 for his fourth place finish.
Both Gagliano and Cluff didn't end their weekends just making the final table on the two biggest online NJ poker tournaments of the weekend. Gagliano shipped the WSOP.com/888poker NJ $10,000 GTD Weekly Sunday for $3,253 while Cluff took fourth place in this tournament for $840.
