TonyBet Poker Launches No-Limit Hold’em and Omaha Games in the UK

Starting Friday, Feb. 19, online poker players in the UK can add a new poker room to their list of favorites, as TonyBet Poker has added no-limit Texas hold'em and pot-limit Omaha games to their platform's offering.

The launch of the new games takes place just in time to give UK players the opportunity to join the upcoming €100,000 GTD Glory Series, the room's first online tournament series set to kick off on Feb. 28.

"The launch of Texas hold'em and Omaha for UK players has been in our plans for a while now and we're glad to finally announce the good news," TonyBet UK representative Warren Lush told PokerNews. "However, this is just a small part of what we have prepared for our British players. Along with the new games come a lot of exclusive promotions and special tournaments, not to mention the €100,000 guaranteed Glory Series starting on February 28."

The move is part of TonyBet's new "no balls, no glory" campaign strategy aimed at growing the room's player base and position it as one of the top poker sites for recreational players in Europe by "bringing the fun back to poker."

"Last month, we already rewarded one of our players with a Las Vegas package for the summer and we're giving away one at the end of February as well," Lush said. "Each week we are awarding one of our players with a brand new iPhone 6S, as well as offering thousands of pounds in guaranteed prize pools. As TonyBet Poker is still a growing site, we have pretty huge overlays which present additional value for players.

"There is a lot of talk these days that poker has become dull and that there's no spark, and, as founder Tony G would say, it is lacking big heart. We're on a mission to change that — it's not just about being very generous through promotions including $10K in daily freerolls and scrapping rake, it is about the experience that we offer."

The €100K GTD Glory Series Begins on Feb. 28

Now that the poker room has completed its mission to add the UK to the list of countries that can access its poker games, the team behind TonyBet Poker can fully focus on the launch of the €100K GTD. Glory Series, a brand new online poker series running from Feb. 28-March 5.

Set to distribute a total prize pool of €100,000 across 24 events, the week-long online poker series promises to keep the room's players highly entertained with premium events like the Glory Series €200 Main Event and the Glory Series €500 High Roller, with both taking place on March 5 and each boasting a sizable €15,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Those who don't feel too comfortable in paying the events' entry fees in full also have the opportunity to qualify online by joining one of the many satellites already running at the poker room, or by joining the €15,000 Grinderz League — a special leaderboard that rewards the best ring-game, sit-and-go, and tournament players with free tickets to the online poker series.

If you reside in one of the countries where TonyBet Poker legally operates and you haven't joined the poker room yet, you can do so through [I]PokerNews[/B] using the bonus code STARTER and be safe in the knowledge that you will be welcomed with the highest sign-up bonus available on the net: a huge 100-percent match of up to €2,000 on your first deposit plus a free €10 ticket to a tournament with a €5,000 guaranteed prize pool!
