Sunday Briefing: 'DrMiKee' Wins Both partypoker High Rollers

Partypoker runs two high roller tournaments every Sunday at 7:00 p.m. GMT, one with a $530 buy-in and the other commanding a $2,600 entry. This weekend saw the combined guarantees reach $250,000 and it was the same player, “DrMiKee,” who won both star-studded events.

DrMiKee topped a field of 49 in the $2,600 buy in tournament for a $42,875 score and followed that impressive result by outlasting 315 opponents in the $530 buy in High Roller for an additional $32,390.

Another popular Sunday tournament at partypoker is the $50,000 Gtd Weigh-In, which this weekend was won by “GreatLacastro” for $10,863.03. “Das-Sackgesicht” turned $109 into $24,150.15 by emerging victorious in The Main Event.

The second largest partypoker score on Sunday went to “GeroldK” who triumphed in the $250,000 Gtd Title Fight. GeroldK came out on top of 1,232 entries in the $215 buy in affair to collect the $41,980.75 first-place prize.

As is usually the case, the tournaments at PokerStars saw the biggest prizes awarded.

This week’s $215 Sunday Million attracted 5,285 entries who were all outlasted by the United Kingdom’s “DrAnibus.” The tournament ended in a three-way chop with the champion banking $130,172.16. Fellow British player “Beckinnz” walked away with $96,801.30 and “Petelekinho” of Brazil, who finished third, collected $102,943.08.

  • “MrMaximize” – winner of the Hot $162 for $15,837.41
  • “DeLaBijen” – winner of the $700 Super-Sized Sunday for $35,669.69
  • “pinkfinger” – winner of the $109 Bounty Builder for $15,494.52
  • “Liqqa” – winner of the $109 Bubble Rush for $10,591.11
  • Harry “Iamapoopie” Lodge – winner of the Hot $109 for $18,683.34
  • “mamamamama70” – winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand NLHE for $51,600.23
  • “maggess88” – winner of the $1,050 Sunday Grand PLO for $33,442.54
  • “twirlpro” – winner of the Big $215 for $22,602.01
  • “Robi.gool” – winner of the $109 Sunday Cooldown for $21,839.16
  • Breixo “PalomoBuchon” Gonzalez – winner of the $215 Sunday Supersonic for $35,065.87
  • “hello_totti” – winner of the Hot $215 for $15,341.99
  • Belus “gigibaston” Andrei – winner of the $109 Sunday Wrap-Up for $8,747.84

Finally, the biggest results from 888poker’s tournaments:

This week saw the return of the $100,000 Baby Whale, which was won by Uruguay’s “komarolo222” for $19,350. He defeated Kenny “SpaceyFCB” Hallaert heads up with the runner-up securing $14,500.

The $120,000 Mega Deep, which will soon become $500,000 guaranteed as it celebrates its fifth anniversary, ended in a chip between the last two players standing. Simon “IggyGak” Pedersen finished in second place for $19,091.78 with the eventual champion, Peter “not_the_same” Nigh, walking away $20,733.20 richer than when he started the tournament.

It was Denmark’s “Mekajevic” who walked away with the $9,675 first-place prize of the $45,000 Turbo Mega Deep, while “kozirok_bel” turned $90 into $15,112 by becoming the $80,000 Sunday Challenge champion.
