Bailey, Camosci, Korik, Soucek and Truntsev Win Big at 888poker in December
Sundays are the biggest day of the week at the world's second largest real-money online poker network 888poker
Sunday also features a handful of special added tournaments including the Mega Deep Sunday Challenge each weekend, plus the Whale Baby Whale on alternating Sundays.
A big name in Italy, Enrico "hateh4tehate" Camosci , and in Czech Republic, Lukas "suk12cz" Soucek , won the Mega Deep in back-to-back weeks with the former winning the top prize of $25,913 on Dec. 4 and the latter winning a slightly larger $26,113 on Dec. 11. Also winning this tournament in December were "vaitodo.pt" on Dec. 18 for $24,217 and "T54_IS_A_FAG" on Dec. 25 for $14,891.
Russia's Fedor "TheLINQ" Truntsev won the Sunday Challenge on Dec. 4 for $15,793. Two weeks later on Dec. 18, Canada's Mike "D0nkeyKong" Bailey won this tournament for $15,402. Other winners of this event in December included "iCrushU556" taking down the top prize of $15,299 on Dec. 11 and "hoolzky" banking $10,135 on Dec. 25.
Meanwhile, American poker refugee Zackary "DuduPa1986" Korik won the biggest prize on Christmas at 888poker when he took down the Whale for $17,153. Two weeks before on Dec. 11, "Madeon1994" secured the tournament's top prize of $26,113.
Also winning big were "proplatish" and "steveybg" by winning the Baby Whale on Dec. 4 and Dec. 18 for $22,567 and $18,054, respectively.
