Cash Game Festival London Off to an Amazing Start

Cash Game Festival London Champagne

Day 1 of the 2017 Cash Game Festival London was a huge success with lots of action and fun throughout the day and evening. More than a dozen tables are still currently in action, with some of the players expressing they plan to play through the night.

This includes at least one table that has prop bets that involve staying awake, drinking and playing until around noon tomorrow.

The festival began at 5 p.m. with welcome drinks and many players enjoying champagne. Shortly after, the first televised feature table kicked off with players battling it out in £1/£2 no-limit hold'em.

David Clarkson was the big winner on the feature table.

At 7:30 p.m. many players headed over to the Sky Bar to watch Munich Bayern defeat Arsenal in a Champions League match 5:1. Sweden's Lisa Nord won a free bottle of champagne as part of a contest after she picked the first player to score a goal.

Before the end of the football match, the second televised feature table began with a game change to pot-limit Omaha and stakes raised to £2/£5. United Kingdom's David Clarkson was the big winner on the feature table. He bought in for £2,000 on the uncapped table and doubled this up with 20 minutes left to play.

As the weekend approaches, many more players are expected tomorrow. Players with the hospitality package will be checking out the sites of London tomorrow at 4:15 p.m. after heading to the top of the 114.5 meter tall ArcelorMittal Orbit structure in Queen Olympic Park. Organizers promise a twist on the way down the tower.

Many other players will likely be enjoying the delights of London, and, of course, the casino by playing some ring games. Live streaming is scheduled at lower stakes at 5:30 p.m. and higher stakes are scheduled for 8:30 p.m. on a 20-minute delay.
