High Stakes Poker TV Show Is Back... On YouTube

High Stakes Poker.

Remember that iconic cash-game television show High Stakes Poker? I bet you do, since it featured some of the best and well-known pros like Daniel Negreanu, Phil Hellmuth, Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Tom Dwan, of course Phil Ivey, and more during its run on GSN.

The show first aired in 2006 and ran its course through 2011. It has some of the wildest moments from poker's past and largely contributed to the poker boom post Moneymaker era. What type of game was it? Well it was raw, old school poker with piles of bricks, cigar smoking, banter, and more. It was part of the reason we all fell in love with the game.

It is considered by the game's cognoscenti to be the pinnacle of poker programming. Back in 2016, Mori Eskandani and others reflected on the show that changed TV poker, recalling some wild moments, and how it all began.

This may be old news, but good news is always relevant. Scrolling through Twitter, we saw a tweet from Jimmy Fricke that got us all kinds of excited. Like, "first day of school" excited.

Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy? Indeed, all seven seasons are uploaded on the High Stakes Poker YouTube channel. Isn’t that exciting? It's always great to look back at some of our favorite moments in good quality.

The videos were uploaded three months ago, and some of them already have more than 76K views. One of those is the first episode of the 6th season that featured iconic poker player Phil Ivey on an insane run competing with Antonio Esfandiar,Gus Hansen, Negreanu, and Dwan.

Season 7 ended with some massive pots and, of course, incredible plays. Like the one on the very last episode of the show, where Johnny Chan absolutely crushed.

So enough reading about it. If you want to take a trip down memory lane, now is the time.
