Just Five Stops Remain on Season 10 of the MSPT; Mike Shin Leads POY

MSPT Season 10

Since its inception in December 2009, the Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) has awarded $98,880,663 throughout 159 Main Events and 33 Regional Events. With five stops remaining in 2019 – which coincides with the MSPT’s 10th season – the tour is set to cross the $100-million mark.

What’s more, PokerNews will be there to capture the special moment as we’ll bring you live updates from all MSPT events beginning with this weekend’s stop at Meskwaki Casino in Tama, Iowa.

MSPT Meskwaki Casino Preview

A series of satellites have been feeding into the $1,100 buy-in, $300K GTD Main Event, which will run this weekend from Nov. 1-3. Players must be 18 years old to play.

The tournament will offer two starting flights beginning with Day 1a at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. Day 1b will take place at the same time on Saturday, and the surviving players from both flights will return at 11 a.m. on Sunday to play down to a winner. The final table will not only be live reported by PokerNews but also livestreamed worldwide on a 15-minute delay.

Back in March, the first MSPT Meskwaki of Season 10 drew 409 entries and saw Steve Federspiel walk away with an $86,949 first-place prize. Then, in July, Josh Meyer bested a 401-entry field to win the 2019 MSPT Iowa State Poker Championship. In the same event last year, Taylor Howard topped a 423-entry field to win the tournament for $89,939.
