Moneymaker's Road to PSPC Heads to Florida's Seminole Hard Rock Dec. 11-15

Moneymaker's Road to PSPC

Moneymaker's Road to PSPC heads to sunny Florida on Dec. 11-15 cohosted by the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood and Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek, where another Platinum Pass for the 2020 PokerStars Player's Championship will be up for grabs.

PokerStars Ambassador Chris Moneymaker, of course, will be greeting players as well as competing on the felt as he has had during his other signature events.

$100,000 Guaranteed Main Event

PokerNews will be on hand to cover the highlight of the festival, Moneymaker's Road to PSPC Main Event with a $100,000 guarantee on Dec. 13-15. The tournament features four opening flights. Players can choose to play at either the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood or the Seminole Casino in Coconut Creek with two pairs of opening flights running at both venues simultaneously on Dec. 13 and Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. EST.

Players start off with 20,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 30 minutes. Unlimited reentries are permitted until late registration closes on each opening flight before the start of Level 9.

Those finding a bag during any of the opening flights will already be in the money and are scheduled to play one more day on Dec. 15 at 11 a.m. EST at the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. It is possible for another day to be added if play continues past 3 a.m. EST unless all players agree to keep playing. If another day is added it will be on Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. EST.

Moneymaker is often credited with the online poker boom in 2003 after becoming the first poker player to win a WSOP Main Event via an online satellite. It is only fitting that Moneymaker can now make another player's dream come true as the winner of the Main Event will not only be awarded a huge piece of the at least $100,000 guaranteed prize pool but also be awarded a coveted Platinum Pass valued at approximately $30,000 to the 2020 PSPC in Barcelona in August 2020 that includes everything listed below.

  • Buy-in to the €22,500 PSPC 2020 event
  • Six night's hotel accommodation for you and a guest in a five-star hotel
  • Airport transfers
  • Bespoke PSPC Merchandise
  • €1,250 expenses
  • Platinum Pass winner experience during the event

Side Events

While the Main Event is easily the biggest attraction of the festival there are a handful of side events that should provide good value including the $20,000 guaranteed $130 Quad Stack Double Green Chip Bounty on Dec. 11, the $20,000 guaranteed $150 Triple Stack Thursday on Dec. 12, the $20,000 guarantee $150 Friday Big Stack on Dec. 13, and the $10,000 guaranteed $150 Deep Stack Turbo on Dec. 15.
