Brian Altman Outlasts the Field in WSOP.com Online Super Circuit Series Event #3

As a response to the changes to Atlantic City and LA/Las Vegas stops, WSOP.com has put together an 18-ring event online series for those inside the borders of Nevada, New Jersey, and Delaware. The WSOP.com Online Super Circuit Series kicked off on March 14 and will run through March 31, with 18 official gold ring events, other nightly tournaments, and more than $1,000,000 in prize pool guarantees. The 18 events count for the Global Casino Championship leaderboard points standings, with the Main Event champion and Casino Champion from these events earning automatic qualification.
The third tournament on the schedule — Event #3: $50,000 GTD NLH Deep Turbo 2x Re-entry — offered a $215 buy-in and more than doubled the guarantee. With a final tally of 484 registered players and 185 rebuys, the 669-entry tournament offered a total prize pool of $133,800 that was paid out amongst the top 75 players with a min-cash starting at $428.
Ultimately, Brian “JackBogle” Altman out lasted the rest to capture a $32,781 first-place prize and WSOP Circuit ring. Also at the final table were well-known poker pros Ted "olmuggins" Ely and Lauren "sycamore22" Roberts. Altman captured his second Circuit ring after previously winning a Circuit Main in Canada for CA$167,700.

Brian “bexel” Sherrier made his second deep run in the WSOPcom Online Super Circuit Series. Sherrier finished in 11th place in Event 1: $50,000 GTD NLH Double Stack 2x Re-entry for $1,881 and added another $8,563 with his final table appearance in Event 3. Others to cash the tournament included Ryan "Mink32" McCusker (19th place - $1,070), Matthew "omg_obama" Iles (31st place - $495), William “swaggyb” Corvino (38th place - $468), and Michael "49erSuited" Cohen (54th place - $441).

The next event on the WSOP.com Online Super Circuit Series schedule is the first of three High Roller events featuring a $1,000 buy-in. Event #4: $75,000 GTD NLH High Roller 6-Max 2x Re-entry will begin on Tuesday at 4 p.m. PST.
