2021 NJ/MI SCOOP Day 2: Dan Sewnig Wins Event 11... Twice!

Now through May 24, Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) festivals are running in both Michigan and New Jersey on PokerStars.

There are more than $3 million in total guarantees spread among 285 individual tournaments (most events having a High, Medium, and Low tier) between the MISCOOP and NJSCOOP. There are events for players of all sorts with buy-ins ranging from $5 to as high as $2,000 and formats from the intricate and challenging 8-game to no-frills no-limit hold'em.

After three days of play, there have been 17,252 entries total for $686,740.10 in prize money.

Dan "monkeyman067" Sewnig Captures Two Titles

Each NJSCOOP event is comprised of three different buy-in levels, and on Monday one player managed to win two of them in Event #11. First, Dan "monkeyman067" Sewnig (lead picture) topped a 98-entry field to win 11-H: $200 NLHE [6-Max, PKO, Battle Royale], $10K GTD for $5,406.70, and at the same time he was competing in 11-M: $100 NLHE [6-Max, PKO, Battle Royale], $7.5K GTD, which drew a field of 123 runners. Amazingly, he won that one too for $2,910.66.

In other NJSCOOP news, Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski was victorious in 11-L: $30 NLHE [6-Max, PKO, Battle Royale], $4K GTD, good for a $1,371.08 payday.

Through the first three days of the NJCOOP, the series has completed 36 tournaments. Through those, a combined 5,681 entrants competed, and $291,532.55 in prize money awarded.

"Dublistic" Claims Second MISCOOP Title

Through three days of play and 27 completed events, the 2021 MISCOOP has catered to 11,571 entrants and awarded $395,207.55 in prize money.

The biggest story to come out of Monday's play in the MISCOOP was "Dublistic" capturing his second "Low" title in as many days. On Sunday, the player bested a 212-entry field to win Event 7-L: $5.00 NLHE [6-Max, Hyper-Turbo, Sunday Supersonic], $1K GTD for $196.75.

On Monday night, they followed it up by topping a 755-entry field to win Event 8-L: $10 NLHE [6-Max, PKO, Battle Royal], $5K GTD for $779.39.
