The online edition of the Battle of Malta is in full swing at Natural 8 and on the GG Network and there have been some big winners. Sylvain “LaBeSSeRoyA” Cisterna is one of those with a padded bankroll courtesy of triumphing in the Siege of Malta Bounty MILLION$ event.

Cisterna was one of 9,542 players who bought into the Siege of Malta Bounty MILLION$ event. That number of entrants meant the €1 million guarantee was missed by €45,800, which meant more value for those finishing in the money places.

With bounties included, nobody at the nine-handed final table walked away with less than €6,747, and all but two of the finalists saw their bankrolls swell by five-figures, impressive considering the tournament only costs €105 to enter.

“Bees44” fell in ninth for a combined prize worth €6,747 with “blachu32” of Argentina walking away with €8,014 when their progress halted in eighth place.

The first of the five-figure scores, namely €11,096, went to “Fulli” before “CN Darwin2” (€12,389) and “SickGG!” (€19,725) fell by the wayside and left only four players in the running for the title of champion.

Those four became three when Brener “Runnerb 2” Vicente dusted off his stack; he collected €25,896 for his deep run. Vicente’s fellow Brazilian, Rafael “horyshet” Do Prado crashed and burned in third for €34,398, which set up a one-on-one clash between Cisterna and “Soraya Estrada”.

The fight went the way of Cisterna, and he got his hands on €72,793, leaving the runner-up to head into the night with €56,631 reasons to be happy with their performance.
