Lefrancois, Maue and Obreshkov Crush GGPoker WSOP Online Main Event Day 1C

Lefrancois, Obreshkov and Maue

The third starting flight of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Online Main Event played out yesterday on GGPoker, and saw 103 players advance to tournament's Day 2. A host of notable names finished inside the Day 1C top ten chip counts, with the likes of Stoyan Obreshkov, Leonard "LottoLarry" Maue and Canada's Pascal Lefrancois bagging big.

Day 1c saw 691 players pay the $5,000 buy-in, bringing the overall total to 1,813 entries and the current number of players through to Day 2 now stands at 239. The WSOP Online Main Event has a guarantee of $20 million, however just $8,611,750 of that has been collected. Five starting flights remain so there still plenty of opportunities for the mammoth guarantee to be eclipsed.

Luc "AAlataKK" Bindel was the player to pilot over the biggest stack to next stage and joins Xing "Mai_K_4_Life" He, Marius Gierse, David Yan, Leonard "Sheogorath" Mendes and Alexandru "Lexandru" Baron as the only entrants with seven-figure chip stacks.

Famous faces who tried their luck but were unable to go the distance included Jessica Teusl, Wiktor Malinowski and Natural8 Ambassador Pete Chen. Those who haven't booked their seat into Day 2 can try again on Sunday, September 18 as that's when Day 1d gets underway.
