Korea Poker Cup Returns to Jeju With 1.36 Billion KRW Guaranteed
Following a record-setting debut earlier this year, the Korea Poker Cup (KPC) returns to Jeju Island from June 17–23, bringing with it a packed schedule of events and a boosted ₩1.36 billion guaranteed prize pool.
The April 2025 edition of the KPC concluded with strong numbers, including 1,228 entries in the inaugural Main Event, setting a new benchmark for the emerging series. Now, organizers are aiming even higher with expanded guarantees, new features, and exclusive player packages designed to attract both international pros and rising local talent.

Main Event Guarantee Climbs to ₩880 Million
At the heart of the series is the KPC Main Event, which returns with a ₩880,000,000 ($639K) guaranteed prize pool and a buy-in of ₩1,300,000 ($897). The event will once again feature multiple Day 1 flights, and players who qualify through more than one flight will be eligible for additional bonus prizes worth up to ₩23 million.
The weeklong festival begins with the Jeju Open Mystery Bounty, which now features a ₩180 million guarantee. Other returning events include the Jeju Cup with ₩200 million guaranteed and the Mega Stack Closer, which offers a ₩100 million prize pool and a unique bonus: all ITM players will earn a complimentary hotel night at the next KPC stop.
Several new additions debut in June, including the KPC Venus Event, a tournament designed specifically for female players, and the series' first official Players’ Party.
Qualify for the Main Event via Freeroll Promotion
Players also have the chance to win entry into the Main Event for free, thanks to a special freeroll offering nine seats across key KPC events.
The top two finishers will receive Main Event Day 1A entries, while others can earn seats into the Jeju Open Mystery Bounty and Milestone Satellite tournaments. It’s a rare opportunity for lower-stakes players to get a shot at a major title without breaking the bank.

Looking Ahead
The April edition drew some of Asia’s most recognized names, including Paul Phua, Tan Xuan, Danny Tang, and Elton Tsang, and organizers expect another strong international turnout in June. The KPC aims to position itself alongside the region’s premier tournament brands and continues to gain momentum as a destination series.
The tour has confirmed that the June stop will maintain the high standards established earlier this year, with a focus on player experience, generous guarantees, and luxury hospitality.
