The 2025 PokerStars European Poker Tour (EPT) Barcelona festival is rapidly approaching. The Casino Barcelona will host the epic series from August 18 to 31. With dozens of events scheduled, there is every chance that the PokerStars Live League standings will look completely different from their current form once the final hands are dealt.

PokerStars launched its Live League at the start of 2025. It sees players earn precious leaderboard points based on the tournament buy-in and their finishing positions. Three different tiers, Low, Medium, and High, keep matters fair, and pries range from a €2,000 PokerStars Open bundle to an EPT bundle worth a cool €62,400!

All EPT, European PS Open events, and the Irish Open 2025 are eligible for the PokerStars Live League. You earn points for the Low tier in tournaments costing €/£/$999 or less, for the Medium tier in tournaments with buy-ins of €/£/$1,000 to $4,999, and tournaments costing €/£/$5,000 or more qualify for the High tier.

Players who finish in the money in qualifying events earn points based on the Global Poker Index (GPI) points ranking. Those who finish outside the money still earn points, but at the rate of 20% of the min-cash points. Satellite tournaments do not earn any points.

England's Luke Marsh is the man to catch in the Medium tier; he is one of only two players with a four-figure points haul so far. Marsh has enjoyed six in-the-money finishes, including two final tables, one of which saw him bank €140,510 in the €2,200 PokerStars Open High Roller in Monte Carlo.

Spanish grinder Gerard Rubiralta Cortes is hot on Marsh's heels, with PokerStars ambassador and 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event finalist Kenny Hallaert rounding off the podium places.

Others in the top ten heading to Barcelona include Norway's Jon Kyte and former PokerStars ambassador Barny Boatman. The latter stated he won't be attending EPT Barcelona after he and PokerStars parted company late last month.
