The Casino Mediterráneo is gearing up for one of its biggest poker festivals ever as the CNP Winamax arrives in Alicante from September 8-14, 2025. This will be the fourth and penultimate stop of the season after record-setting events in Sevilla, Barcelona, and Murcia, and expectations are high for another attendance milestone on the Valencian coast.

Organizers are predicting that this will be the most attended poker event in Casino Mediterráneo history, boosted by strong satellite traffic and Winamax’s growing partnership with the tour.

Expanded Space for Players

Concerns about space have been addressed with major adjustments to accommodate the expected player field. Circuit director Jaime Sánchez confirmed that 45 tables will be available across three different areas of the casino.

“The number of tables will not vary from the other venues,”

The main poker room will host the majority of play, while a giant tent overlooking the Alicante marina will add another 12-15 tables. The exhibition hall at the entrance will house televised feature tables, cash games, and the final tables of events concluding on the last day.

“The number of tables will not vary from the other venues,” Sánchez explained. “We’ll have the same capacity as Seville or Barcelona, spread across three different areas of the casino.”

Key Events on the Schedule

The Alicante festival runs September 8-14 with a mix of marquee tournaments and side events.

  • Opening Event (Sept 8-10): €150 buy-in with unlimited re-entries through Level 12.
  • Main Event CNP Winamax (Sept 10-14): €550 buy-in, 50,000-chip stacks, and 45-minute levels. Four Day 1 flights are available, including a “Non Stop” turbo flight on Saturday morning.
  • High Roller (Sept 10-11): €1,100 buy-in across two days.
  • El Cazador Bounty (Sept 11): €185 buy-in knockout event.
  • Pot-Limit Omaha (Sept 12): €150 buy-in for fans of four-card action.
  • El Mini (Sept 13-14): €250 buy-in side event with a 50,000 starting stack.
  • Clausura Copa Series – Crazy Pineapple (Sept 14): €125 buy-in closer

The Main Event Day 2 and Day 3 will be live-streamed, ensuring fans at home don’t miss a minute of the action.

Beyond the prizes, there’s extra incentive to run deep in Alicante. The CNP 2025 ranking is heating up ahead of the Grand Final in Madrid, where the Team CNP 2026 sponsorship will be awarded.

Satellites Fuel the Boom

One of the biggest reasons behind the CNP Winamax surge has been its satellite qualifiers. Low-cost buy-ins have already helped several players reach final tables this season, and in Murcia, the runner-up even came through this route.

Throughout August, Winamax has doubled its guarantees, now offering a minimum of 22 seats each week through online qualifiers starting at just €2. That means anyone can win their way to Alicante for a fraction of the buy-in.
