Even the best in the game run bad and get stacked sometimes. Take, for example, Garrett Adelstein's outing this week on PokerGO's No Gamble, No Future Season 7 episode.

The Southern California high-stakes poker legend lost a six-figure bad beat to start the show, then lost multiple six-figure pots when he picked the wrong times to show aggression.

The first hand of Episode 5, which is available exclusively on PokerGO, saw the bigger stacked Adelstein, holding KK, get Justin Gavri all in for $60,200 with AK.

"G-Man" would not enjoy the run-out as it went 63A28, giving Gavri, who used to be one of the unluckiest players on High Stakes Poker, a $124,200 pot.

Adelstein, later in the show, found the most inopportune time possible to semi-bluff. Stanley Tang opened the straddled pot to $2,000 with KQ. Adelstein three-bet to $10,000 in late position with 97. Andrew Pacheco called from the straddle with 33, as did Tang.

The flop came out 43Q, hitting two of the three players. Action checked to the preflop aggressor, who bet $15,000 with nine-high. Both players called to see the 2 on the turn, which made things interesting.

Two checks were again followed by a bet from Adelstein, who picked up a flush draw. He threw out $60,000 chips. Pacheco called with a set, while Tang, co-founder of the DoorDash delivery app, made a strong fold with top pair.

The J ended the possibility of a runner-runner flush coming through. Pacheco checked his set one last time before his opponent, stuck without any showdown value, wisely surrendered the hand with a check and lost the $196,000 pot.

Adelstein would later hit a jack on the river in a $96,000 pot to beat Tang's small pocket pair. But he'd make a move later against the same player that turned out to be rather costly.

Tang started the action with a raise to $4,000 preflop with KK. Adelstein, on the button with 1010, re-raised to $20,000. The billionaire entrepreneur came back over the top for $60,000, which didn't convince Adelstein to give up. He instead put his opponent all in for $181,400 and received a snap-call.

"This cold deck sums up this season for Garrett Adelstein," No Gamble, No Future commentator Brent Hanks said as the players waited for the community cards to be dealt. "Can he find a miracle?"

Both players agreed to run the board one time for the $366,200 pot, and there would be no miracle, as the board ran out 6AQ47, sending the chips in Tang's direction.

No Gamble, No Future Episode 7, presented by PokerStars, will air next Tuesday at 5 p.m. PT on PokerGO.
