RGPS Grand Prix Reno Stop Will Feature $150,000 Gtd. Main Event

The RunGood Poker Series (RGPS) is returning to Atlantis Casino in Reno, Nevada for RGPS Grand Prix: Atlantis Casino, a series that will take place Aug. 26-31.

The RGPS Grand Prix: Atlantis Casino stop will feature eight ring events across six days and will culminate with an $800 buy-in Main event with a $150,000 guaranteed prize pool attached.

Win a Ring in Reno

Action in Reno will kick off on Aug. 26 with an early-morning $300 Seniors Ring Event for players 50 and over, followed by the first flight of a $400 DeepStack Ring Event with three starting flights, which will play to a winner on Aug. 28.

Also on Aug. 28 will be a $300 Black Chip Bounty NLH Ring Event and a $300 Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) Ring Event.

The next day will see the start of the $150,000 guaranteed Main Event, which will offer four starting flights before playing to a winner on Aug. 31.

The RGPS Grand Priz: Atlantis Casino stop will close out with a $300 One Day NLH Ring Event and a $300 Tag Team Ring Event on Aug. 31.

Last time around in Reno, the $600 Main Event drew 370 runners for a prize pool of $188,700, making it the biggest-ever RGPS Main Event in Reno. That event saw poker pro and World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Ian Steinman winning $36,220 after a three-way deal with Yang Zhao and Art Tanimoto.

The final table also included Ed Miller (6th - $7,455), Ryan Awwad (5th - $9,010) and Shawn Van Asdale (4th - $11,690).

After wrapping up in Reno, the RunGood team will head to Tunica, Mississippi for RGPS Grand Prix: Horseshoe Casino Tunica, a series that will culminate with a $200,000 guaranteed Main Event.
