GGPoker Online Poker Site

GGPoker, the world's most popular online poker site, is giving previously banned online poker players a chance at redemption.

The Olive Branch Initiative permits banned players a shot to prove they can follow the rules. Such a decision is rare in the online poker world. Most sites never offer such an opportunity. But GGPoker is trying something different, a reinstatement path for those banned from any of the GGPoker Network platforms, and a "secondary review for players who feel wrongly accused," according to an announcement posted on the poker site.

Olive Branch Initiative Details

GGPoker, a site promoted by major poker stars such as Daniel Negreanu and Fedor Holz, wrote: "The Olive Branch Program reflects our belief that redemption is possible when genuine change occurs. We understand circumstances can be complex, and sometimes, players deserve the opportunity to demonstrate their growth."

Those who've been banned and wish to seek reinstatement must follow a process. The first step is to email [email protected] from the banned account's email address with the subject line "Olive Branch Application."

The application must include the player's full name and GGPoker Network account nickname, a detailed explanation as to why the player is requesting a reinstatement review, and a selfie holding a form that shows proof of identity and address.

GGPoker is only offering banned players a short window to apply for reinstatement. Applications must be received by Oct. 1, 2025. Reinstatement is not guaranteed, and decisions will be made on an individual basis. Players will be notified by Nov. 1 if their application has been approved.

"The Olive Branch Program doesn’t change GGPoker’s fundamental commitment to maintaining the highest standards of fair play and security. We’ll continue enforcing our Security and Ecology Policy with the same rigor that makes GGPoker trusted worldwide," the announcement states.

Online poker players can get banned from any site for various reasons, including multi-accounting, using a VPN, and collusion, among others. It's unclear how many previously banned players will be reinstated, and if GGPoker will be less likely to approve an application from a player who was banned for major cheating violations.
