The fifth of six legs of the 888poker UK Poker League (UKPL) is only a fortnight away, with UKPL Liverpool scheduled to run from September 29 through to October 5. UKPL Liverpool marks the first time 888poker has headed to Merseyside since it started running live events in 2015. If past UKPLs are anything to go by, those attending UKPL Liverpool are in for a real treat.

September 29 is the first day of the week-long UKPL Liverpool festival. Day 1a of the £250 buy-in, £50,000 guaranteed Opening Voyage gets the series off to a flying start. Pot-Limit Omaha fans can also jump into an event on Day 1, a £150 buy-in, £10,000 guaranteed PLO4/5/6 Card event.

On October 2, as the Opening Voyage is playing down a champion, a £1,100 High Roller shuffles up and deals at 2:00 p.m. BST. An hour later, the Main Event gets underway. Costing £560 to enter, UKPL Liverpool comes with a chunky £100,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Each of the four previous UKPL Main Events from 2025 has smashed their guarantees by at least £24,000 and as much as £63,000. Liverpudlians love their poker, so expect another bumper pot created during the UKPL Liverpool Main Event.

As mentioned, UKPL Liverpool is the fifth of six scheduled legs of 888poker's popular tour. The poker community has supported each of the previous four legs well.

The first UKPL Main Event of 2025 saw Jordan Daniels outlast 272 opponents in Portsmouth; he collected £23,018 of the £129,670 prize pool. Three months later, 888poker ambassador Ian Simpson added the UKPL Newcastle Main Event title and £34,800 top prize to the 888poker LIVE Madrid Main Event gong he'd helped himself to at the start of the year.

Dale Wilson triumphed in Reading in June, taking home £30,000 before Harry Sandford came out on top in Edinburgh, also in June, a result that came with a £23,960 payday.
