New Season of 'Chase The Dream' Docuseries Shows Highs & Lows of Poker
A new season of a YouTube docuseries offers a look at the highs and lows of tournament poker through the eyes of several grinders at the 2025 World Series of Poker (WSOP).
Season 2 of "Chase The Dream," a Push Fold Production, premieres Thursday, Sept. 25 on the Rec Poker YouTube channel. It features interviews with Rec Poker members Jim Reid, Dayanna Ciabaton, Mikha Richards, Jay Carrafiello, Brett Kimes, Craig Savage (pictured above), and Rob Gardner.
PokerNews got a sneak peek of the new season of "Chase The Dream," which documents a series of tournament runs by members of the Rec Poker team.
A Look at the New Season
The first episode of the new season introduces Craig Savage, a teacher from Dallas, Texas, who came to Las Vegas to grind a full summer schedule. That included the $600 Golden Nugget Grand Poker Series Championship, where he ended up in 12th place for $6,645.
"We battled hard," Savage says in the new season. "Probably laddered more than most people would in that situation. I don't know, everything's going pretty well. I feel like the big one's coming, though. The big one's coming. We're just so close."
The episode also introduces Dayanna Ciabaton, a poker player from Florida who speaks about playing with longtime poker commentator Norman Chad in an event inside PokerGO Studio.
Episode 2 follows Ciabaton's run in the $1,000 WSOP Ladies Championship, where she got to play with Kristen Foxen and eventual Main Event final tablist Leo Margets.
"I always like reconnecting with so many of the women in the poker field," says Ciabaton. "We know each other. It's a small group, so when you show up to an event like the Ladies Event, you can't go five steps through the Horseshoe without running into somebody that you know and getting to catch up. And that's always really fun."
Later, Ohio's Mikha Richards is shown making a last-minute decision to play the 2025 WSOP after retiring from full-time poker in 2024. The trip to Las Vegas resulted in a deep run in the $300 WSOP Gladiators of Poker, punctuated by a big bluff she made on a four-flush board.
The first episodes of Season 2 build around Savage's run in the $500 WSOP Freezeout, which saw him get heads-up for a bracelet and six-figure payday against Nevada's Tony Harrison. We won't spoil the result, which is revealed in Episode 3.
Watch the new season of "Chase The Dream" on the Rec Poker YouTube channel beginning Sept. 25. Episodes will be released every Thursday.
