Ontario Poker News September Update: Casino Niagara is Shaking Things Up this Fall; WSOP.ca Bracelet Events

Live Poker News
Casino Niagara is shaking things up this fall. The Friday $340 Bounty is being retired (the final event ran August 22nd), but Wednesdays will stay at $275 through September, and the Last Sunday $550 is still on. Then, starting October 1st, their structure is evolving:
- Wednesdays move to a $300 buy-in with 20K stacks.
- A new Sunday $400 event launches weekly — except on the last Sunday of each month.
- And the Last Sunday of the Month $550 will keep its deep 30K stack and 4.5-hour reg.
And shoutout to Jason M., who just banked $63,370 after taking down their Summer 1K earlier this month. Massive score!

Ontario Online Poker News
Over at PokerStars Ontario, players can now qualify for the NAPT Las Vegas stop (running Nov 3–12 at Resorts World) through the new Silver Pass path:

Ontario has eight exclusive bracelet events, daily Ontario MILLION$ satellites, and Event #1 even awards a seat to WSOP Paradise in the Bahamas this December. Global Poker & Chumba Exit Canada
In case you missed it, as of August, VGW has officially shut down operations for Global Poker, Chumba Casino, and LuckyLand in Canada. Accounts have been closed, balances refunded, and this marks a major exit from the grey market. If you played on Global Poker, this is your cue to switch to regulated options like PokerStars, WSOP.ca, or BetMGM.
