Ontario Poker News October Update: Peter "BIG CHI" Chien Ships WSOP ON Main Event 102

Over at PokerStars Ontario, players can now qualify for the NAPT Las Vegas stop (running Nov 3–12 at Resorts World) through the new Silver Pass path:

  • Start from just $3 via Spin & Go’s or Weekly Phase Qualifiers.
  • Win a Silver Pass (valued at $3,000 CAD), which includes:
  • Entry to the exclusive $100K 'Tournament of Stars' in Las Vegas.
  • 7-night hotel stay at Resorts World.
  • $800 travel credit.

Qualify through weekly Sunday Specials or climb up through the step system.

We’re also waiting on Fall Fest 2025. No official dates yet, but based on previous years, expect it to run in late November.

As for ONCOOP, the 2025 series wrapped up with some big moments:

  • The $300 Main Event drew 636 entries and was won by “vivshark”, who topped a 636-player field for $30,642.37.
  • The High Roller Main ($2,500) saw just 86 entries, but the top prize went to “Sucra71”, who took home $50,240.
  • And congrats to “Prince Pablo” — not only did he win two ONCOOP titles, he also topped the leaderboard with 595 points to lock in a $1,000 bonus. Other leaderboard winners include “gutterpuncharms” (2nd for $800) and “Torbrew” (3rd for $700)

GG Poker Ontario

Over on GG Poker Ontario, the WSOP Bracelet Series delivered some massive results:

  • ”NbaYoungBoy26” took down two events, including the $300 Gladiators Opener and the $1,500 Monster Stack, cashing over $120K total.
  • The WSOP Ontario Main Event was the biggest prize pool — $1.13 million — with Peter "BIG CHI" Chien shipping it for $179,211.
  • Other big winners included “Adamwia” in the Colossus for $76K, and “A Dung Nguyen” in The Closer for $72K.
