MSPT Heads Outside USA for First Time for Canadian Poker Championship at Playground Oct. 9-19
For the third stop in a row, the Major Series of Poker: The Tour (MSPT) is offering up a seven-figure guarantee, and for the first time ever, the MSPT is headed outside of the United States!
From Oct. 9-19, the MSPT Canadian Poker Championship will take place at Playground in Kahnawake just outside Montreal, Canada. The stop, which is offering a combined $1.5 million in guaranteed prize pools, is comprised of 14 Gold Card events culminating with a $1,150 buy-in, $1,000,000 GTD MSPT Major Championship.
That tournament will offer four starting flights beginning with Day 1A at 10 a.m. local time on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Days 1B, 1C & 1D will all take place at the same time over the subsequent three days, and then the surviving players from all four flights will return at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19 to play to a winner. Players will start with 40,000 in chips and play 40-minute levels.
