The WPT World Championship festival at Wynn Las Vegas has seen a number of skilled pros capture the various events, including Darren Elias, a BetMGM ambassador, who took down a $25,000 buy-in High Roller for $631,800.

Elias, the only four-time World Poker Tour champion in history, captured the iconic Wynn replica trophy along with all the money he won. He increased his Hendon Mob cashes to just over $15 million after defeating Neil Warren heads-up for the title,

Elias Gets the Job Done

Some of the best high-stakes tournament players entered the no-limit hold'em High Roller, which concluded on Thursday in Las Vegas. Elias had to outlast about as tough of a final table as you'll see, one that included the likes of PokerStars ambassador Jason Koon, Brock Wilson, Ben Tollerene, and Punnat Punsri, the 2025 GPI Player of the Year leader.

Wilson, a consistent top tournament performer, busting in ninth place ($63,400) and Koon, arguably the top player in the world, going out in eighth place ($75,650) made things a bit easier for Elias. But there were still some landmines left to overcome.

Warren and Elias would go heads-up for the title, and it ended with the latter winning a race to close it out. Warren didn't earn the Wynn trophy, but he did collect $398,275.

Elias is closing out a strong year of poker, which included his first World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet this past summer. He had been stuck on the "Best without a Bracelet" list for quite some time, but finally removed his name from the list.

The WPT World Championship festival will wrap on Sunday, but not before the two biggest events — WPT World Championship and WPT Prime Championship — play down to winners.
