The 2026 UK Poker League (UKPL) by 888poker kicks off in style on February 16 in the poker hotbed that is Luton. UKPL Luton runs from February 16-23 and includes, among its busy schedule, a £560 buy-in Main Event guaranteeing £150,000.

The Grosvenor G Casino Luton on Park Street West has witnessed dozens of poker stars walk away with titles over the years. Now it is the time for an 888poker player to shine, help themselves to a trophy, and pad their bankroll with a sizeable score.

February 16 sees a £90 buy-in satellite awarding at least five seats to both the Opening Voyage and Main Event, getting the UKPL Luton festival underway. The following day, the first of three flights in the £250 No-Limit Hold'em Opening Voyage shuffles up and deals. By the time that event's champion is crowned, at least £50,000 will have been won.

Other UKPL Luton events include an affordable £150 Pot-Limit Omaha tournament, a £150 Seniors event, a plethora of satellites, a £1,100 High Roller for those with deeper pockets, and the first £560 buy-in £150,000 guaranteed UKPL Main Event of 2026.

Once the final champions are crowned, and the tables and chips packed away, a $109 Online Closer with $20,000 guaranteed runs at 888poker on February 23, bringing the curtain down on proceedings.

UKPL Luton Main Event Boasts a £150,000 Guarantee

The 2026 UKPL Luton Main Event commands a £560 buy-in unless you manage to win your way into it via one of the many budget satellites online at 888poker or live at the casino; those live satellites cost £125 to enter and have five seats guaranteed.

There are five Day 1s to choose from, including a turbo-structured Day 1e. Each flight allows unlimited re-entries until the end of the 12th level, and players may enter as many flights as they wish. Day 1a kicks things off at 3:00 p.m. GMT on February 19, with the Day 1e turbo starting at 8:00 p.m. GMT on February 21.

Day 2, which is also the final day, begins at noon on February 22 and continues until a champion has all the chips in play in their stack.

When this tournament last ran in March 2024, it attracted 242 entrants, creating a £162,450 prize pool that the top 53 finishers shared. The tournament ended in a three-handed chop shotly after Yucel Eminoglu bowed out in fourth. Muhamed Mia finished third for £26,219, Andreas Orthodoxou was the runner-up and banked £25,251, while Ian Swan came out on top and collected £24,530.
