“Hellmuth’s Home Game” Features Stacked Lineup and Classic Blow-Ups
Table Of Contents
The 17-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Phil Hellmuth spent the past week filming another batch of episodes for Hellmuth’s Home Game, his cash game show sponsored by BetRivers Poker. The series debuted last June and quickly became a hit thanks to its mix of big personalities, recognizable names, and Hellmuth’s signature theatrics.
Season 1 featured players like Dan “Jungleman” Cates, Randy “3Coin” Sadler, Xuan Liu, and Hellmuth’s son Phillip Hellmuth III, giving fans an inside look at an invite-only cash game with plenty of table talk and drama.
Now, Hellmuth is running it back with another batch of episodes and an even more electric group of guests.
A Fun, Wild Lineup for New Season
The season of Hellmuth’s Home Game brings together a mix of poker pros, rising stars, business heavyweights, and entertainers.
The confirmed lineup includes Chaile Hook, DoorDash co-founder Stanley Tang, Xuan Liu, Kelly Lucas, Dan “Jungleman” Cates, poker vlogger Ethan "Rampage" Yau, DJ Washburn, 2023 WSOP Main Event runner-up Steven Jones, and even rapper 24kGoldn.
Big Pots, Big Drama, and a Wild Start
Once the cards were in the air and filming began, the action didn’t waste any time getting spicy.
Hellmuth shared a clip from the very first hand of the session, and it was an all-in right out of the gate between Kelly Lucas and DoorDash co-founder Stanley Tang. With the double straddle on, Hook raised to $600 and was called by Cates and Lucas before Tang three-bet jammed $50,000 with Q♠Q♣. It folded back to Lucas, who made the call after just smooth-calling Hook’s original raise with A♦K♥, setting up a classic flip. The board ran out 8♦4♠10♥2♥10♦, allowing Tang’s queens to hold up and stack Lucas on the very first hand.
The early fireworks set the tone for what turned into a night full of big pots, momentum swings, and classic Hellmuth chaos. As the session rolled on, the action only got bigger — and so did the emotions.
Hellmuth Goes Broke Back-to-Back Hands and Storms Off
In typical Hellmuth fashion, things really boiled over when the "Poker Brat" ran into a brutal two-hand stretch.
In the first hand, Hellmuth and Tang got all in, with Tang holding ace-jack and running out a straight to make the nuts. To set Hellmuth off even more, Tang slow-rolled him before turning over the winning hand, sending the Poker Brat into full meltdown mode.
And then it happened again.
On the very next hand, Hellmuth picked up pocket jacks, only to run straight into Lucas’ pocket queens and get stacked once more.
Two bustouts in two hands was too much for Hellmuth to handle.
According to Hellmuth, he stormed off the set and didn’t return for an hour and ten minutes. He later posted about the moment on social media, ranting about how poorly he ran.
What’s Next for “Hellmuth’s Home Game”
The new batch of "Hellmuth’s Home Game" is shaping up to deliver exactly what fans expect: big pots, big personalities, and plenty of unfiltered Hellmuth moments.
An official premiere date hasn’t been announced yet, but Hellmuth has promised that the new episodes are coming soon and will air on the HHG YouTube channel.
If the glimpse of the opening session is any indication, Hellmuth’s Home Game Season 2 won’t be short on action, drama, or classic Poker Brat blowups.
