How Online Poker Looks in 2026: Insights from Jurojin’s Report
Online poker players today don’t just fire up a client, sit down and play. It’s clear that players are spending time building full setups, running multiple tables, using software, and optimizing everything they do.
And that’s the picture painted by the first Global Online Poker Report from Jurojin, which studied how more than 25,000 online players actually played in 2025. The report looked at habits like how players set up their computers, how many tables they play, what games they choose, and which tools they rely on.
So, here’s what online poker really looks like heading into 2026.
What Is Jurojin?
For players unfamiliar with the software, Jurojin is an all-in-one productivity tool designed for online poker. It combines table tiling, hotkeys, bet sizing tools, overlays, and automation features into a single platform.
Jurojin is widely used by serious online grinders, particularly those multitabling MTTs and cash games across multiple poker rooms.
This report marks Jurojin’s first large-scale attempt to publish aggregated player-behavior data
Player Setups
Online poker is still mostly played on desktop computers and that’s because most players are running several tables at once, and small screens just don’t work for that:
Standard desktop monitors are the most common setup because they’re affordable and practical. More serious players often use large or ultra-wide monitors, which give extra space to manage multiple tables more easily.
There are some regional differences. South American players mostly use standard setups, while players in Europe and Asia are more likely to invest in bigger screens.
The report also shows how global the game is. English is the main language used online, but Portuguese and Spanish are huge as well, largely because of Brazil’s massive poker community.
Session Behavior
When do players actually grind? Mostly at the start of the year.
January had the highest number of sessions worldwide, likely because players set new goals after the New Year. Activity drops in July and December when people travel or spend time with family.
Europe produces the most online poker activity overall, followed by South America. Brazil stands out as the single most active country by a wide margin.
Multitabling Patterns
The average player nowadays is playing between four and nine tables at a time. Playing just one table is rare across the board.
Running too many tables is also uncommon because it’s hard to manage and requires strong focus. Players are clearly trying to balance volume with good decision-making.
Europe leads in multitabling, likely because more players use larger screens and more professional setups. North America averages slightly fewer tables.
Game Preferences in 2025
Multi-table tournaments (MTTs) are still the most popular format, thanks to big prize pools and the chance for major scores.
Cash games are a close second, mainly because players can jump in and out whenever they want.
Faster formats like Spins, Sit & Gos, and Satellites also remain popular for players who want shorter sessions.
Brazil leads the world in tournament play, while the United States and Argentina lean slightly more toward cash games.
Online Poker Rooms Preferences in 2025
Most players are concentrating on a small number of major poker sites.
GG Network (GGPoker etc.) and PokerStars dominate global traffic by a large margin. Other networks like iPoker also remain strong in certain regions.
Where players live often decides where they play. North American online poker players tend to use sites available in their market, while European players strongly favor PokerStars.
Tools and Workflow: How Players Use Software and Automation to Play More Efficiently
Modern online players are now heavily relying on software to help them play faster and stay organized.
Jurojin users mostly rely on hotkeys (keyboard shortcuts) and table tiling, which help manage multiple tables and speed up decisions. Many also use overlays and bet sizing tools to keep track of information and make consistent bets.
Most players keep things simple. They use one or two layouts and stick with them instead of constantly changing settings.
The big takeaway here is that poker tools are no longer optional extras for serious players and are a part of the standard setup.
