Michael Mizrachi and Chino Rheem made a $100,000 prop bet against each other to see who can last a full year without drinking, smoking, or doing drugs. But, as the reigning world champion said on a recent podcast, they've both "asked for a pass" a few times already.

The goal for both of them, however, is to break even and neither poker legend lose any money. That would happen if they both make it a full year away from some unhealthy vices.

Rheem and "The Grinder" appeared in an interview on YouTube with Boaz Hepner that included many other poker pros such as Daniel Negreanu, Mike Matusow, and Ari Engel. They discussed a wide-range of poker-related topics, the Israeli-Palestine conflict, along with an interesting prop bet involving two of the best in the game.

Mizrachi, the 2025 poker world champion, didn't give specific details about his prop bet with Rheem, who has already reached five high roller final tables this year. But he did explain some of the stipulations, most notably that they cannot smoke, drink alcohol, or use any recreational drugs for a year. The only exception to that rule is hookah and vaping.

There's a shot neither player wins the bet either by both failing to make it a year without drugs, alcohol, or smoking. Or, it could go the other way and both make it a full year (excluding the "pass" days Mizrachi referenced) and the bet ends in a chop.

"The Grinder," the newest Poker Hall of Fame inductee following arguably the most legendary summer ever, said "I'm the favorite against Chino," to which Matusow asked, "why is Mike a favorite?" Mizrachi responded by informing him that Rheem, a three-time World Poker Tour (WPT) champion, loves to smoke weed.

"Oh, I didn't know that," Matusow said.

Mizrachi then offered a separate prop bet to those involved in the video, and that was that he could get six-pack abs by the start of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP), which begins May 26. He later clarified the bet would end June 1, but there weren't any takers.
