Eastern Poker Open

Tournament poker players in the Northeast will be heading to the Boston area next month for some juicy poker action. And so will PokerNews.

The 2026 Eastern Poker OPEN at the DoubleTree by Hilton Boston Milford kicks off April 9 and runs through April 12. PokerNews will live report two events, including the special $1,200 New England Poker Championship (more on this in a bit) and the $35,000 guaranteed Championship, an event open exclusively to those who've qualified.

The OPEN is a weekend festival with 10 tournaments, starting with a $180 no-limit hold'em event on April 9. This one will have $10,000 in guarantees, plus a seat into the New England Poker Championship to the winner.

Friday April 10 at noon is the start of that $1,200 buy-in event, with Day 2 scheduled for April 11. PokerNews will live report the tournament from start to finish. This year's event will honor last year's $1,650 High Roller winner, Jordan Fishman, who passed away in October.

Fishman, a beloved local poker player, beat 86 entrants last April in the High Roller for a career-best $45,000.

This year's renamed event will reward its champion with the inaugural Jordan Fishman Cup. Daily side events with $200 or less buy-ins will take place during the weekend festival.

On April 11, PokerNews will live report the $35,000 guaranteed Championship event, a two-day tournament that culminates with a televised final table on April 12. The freeroll is open exclusively to Eastern Poker Tour Season 35 players only. Players receive 20,000 to 32,000 chips at the start, depending on their season ranking.

The Top 16 finishers in the freeroll will receive $150 and advance to Day 2, where they can win much more. Stay tuned to PokerNews for exclusive coverage of the 2026 Eastern Poker OPEN.
