OlyBet Showdown Riga Wraps Up Another Strong Northern Europe Festival
OlyBet’s live events continue to impress across Northern Europe, and another successful stop is now in the books after the 2026 OlyBet Showdown Riga Voodoo Spring Edition wrapped up at Olympic Voodoo Casino in Latvia’s capital.
A packed schedule of tournaments delivered strong fields, lively competition, and multiple standout winners, with Lithuania’s Justas Vaiciulionis capturing the €1,100 Main Event title and Latvia’s Normunds Rumba returning from a long poker hiatus to win the €555 NLH Championship.
Vaiciulionis Completes Wire-to-Wire Run in Main Event
Vaiciulionis turned an early advantage into a career-defining victory after winning the €1,100 No-Limit Hold’em Main Event for €34,950 from a €150,100 prize pool, overcoming a field of 158 entries.
Vaiciulionis set the tone from the outset by finishing Day 1a as chip leader, then carried that momentum into Day 2 and the final table where he repeatedly found ways to stay in contention, even when momentum briefly slipped.
The final table itself produced several dramatic swings, particularly from eventual runner-up Arturas Kesleris, who shot up from a short stack to become the dominant force late in the event. Kesleris built a sizable lead during heads-up play and at one stage held a commanding advantage that appeared likely to seal the title.
However, Vaiciulionis refused to go down without a fight. According to reporting from poker.pro, the Lithuanian mounted a remarkable comeback during a marathon heads-up duel that stretched to roughly four hours.
After weathering multiple all-in situations and grinding back chips, he gradually reversed the deficit and eventually seized control to close the door and complete a memorable wire-to-wire triumph

Rumba Captures €555 NLH Championship Title
Normunds Rumba returned to live tournament poker after an extended break and captured the €555 NLH Championship for €19,435.
The tournament drew 181 entries and generated an €85,975 prize pool.
Remarkably, this was Rumba’s first live tournament appearance in at least five years. Despite the long layoff, he showed little rust, steadily climbing the chip counts through the middle stages and positioning himself among the leaders heading into the latter part of the event.
As reported by poker.pro, Rumba maintained his stack throughout before building momentum late in the day and applying pressure at the final table. After surviving several tense three-handed exchanges, he carried a solid advantage into heads-up play against Vladislavs Petrovs.
He went on to secure the win and capped an impressive comeback story that marked both his largest recorded live score and a triumphant return to the tournament scene.
