MicroMillions Returns to PokerStars; Over $2M Gtd This August
Keep your schedules free from August 16-31 if you are a low-stakes poker tournament grinder, because that is when the MicroMillions returns to PokerStars. Over the course of two weeks, players will battle across 139 events and play for combined prize pools tipping the scales at more than $2 million in tournaments costing between $1.10 and $22.
The 2026 MicroMillions begins just as the WCOOP Boot Camp concludes and ends a week before the 2026 World Championship Of Online Poker (WCOOP) explodes into action on September 6.
This makes it perfect for aspiring players to build a bankroll to take a shot at WCOOP events, or to try new formats, variants, and strategies as they prepare to embark on a quest for WCOOP glory.
Several of the 2026 MicroMillions events come with guaranteed prize pools that bely their buy-ins.
For example, on August 16, players can play for a share of a guaranteed $75,000 in the $11 Sunday Storm and the $22 High Roller. Those two events run again on August 23 before the PKO Main Event, which starts on August 30, offering a $250,000 guarantee despite only costing $22 to get into the action.
Last year's MicroMillions Main Event drew in 20,600 entrants. Brazil's "pretinhouva" was the last player standing; they took home $25,911 for their efforts, including bounties.
Another Brazilian, "vinivarella22" triumphed in 2024 MicroMillions Main Event, turning their $22 investment into a bankroll-boosting $28,319 after a three-way chop.
Will 2026 see another Brazilian MicroMillions Main Event champion, or will you stop the South American stars from completing a remarkable hat trick?
