WPT Australia Schedule Highlights

The World Poker Tour is heading back Down Under, returning to The Star Sydney from September 10-30, with a 21-day schedule featuring 36 tournaments.

Two championship events headline WPT Australia, which includes a dedicated ladies event, satellites, bounty tournaments, Pot-Limit Omaha action, and more.

The festival will once again be spearheaded by the A$1,500 WPT Prime Australia Championship and the A$5,000 WPT Australia Championship, with both events set to conclude on livestreamed final tables.

Two WPT Titles Up for Grabs in Sydney

The first of the festival's marquee events is the WPT Prime Australia Championship, which runs from September 17-22.

The tournament features four starting flights, beginning on September 17, before players return for Day 2 on September 21 and play down to a champion the following day.

Just two days later, attention shifts to the WPT Australia Championship, which gets underway on September 24.

The A$5,000 buy-in event also features four starting flights before returning for Day 2 on September 27. The tournament will play through to a televised final table on September 30, where another player's name will be added to the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup.

More Than Just Two Championship Events

While the two headline tournaments will attract most of the attention, the schedule offers something for players across a wide range of buy-ins.

The festival opens with the A$1,250 Australian Poker Cup from September 10-14 before moving into a packed schedule that includes the A$1,150 Sydney PLO Open, the A$500 Ladies Australian Championship, the A$1,350 Mystery Bounty, the A$10,000 WPT Australia High Roller, and the A$5,000 Australian PLO Championship.

Players looking for a more affordable route into the festival's biggest events will also have plenty of opportunities to qualify through the extensive satellite schedule.

Throughout the series, players can compete for seats into the Australian Poker Cup, WPT Prime Australia Championship, WPT Australia Championship, Mystery Bounty, Australian PLO Championship, Mini Championship, and several other featured tournaments.
