Table Of Contents
The Queens of Tallinn festival is back at Olympic Park Casino and the Hilton Tallinn Park Hotel from August 27-30, bringing four days of women-only tournaments, team competitions, cash games, and one of Europe's most unique poker celebrations.
Created by OlyBet Poker as the first festival of its kind in the region, Queens of Tallinn has continued to grow year after year, attracting players from across the Baltics, Scandinavia, and beyond.
This year's edition features a bigger €555 Queens of Tallinn Main Event, more than 10 side events, a dedicated PokerNews-branded tournament, and 24/7 cash games running throughout the festival.
Building on a Record-Breaking 2025
Last year's festival delivered another milestone for women's poker in Tallinn.
The 2025 Main Event attracted 96 entries, setting a new festival record and generating a prize pool of €27,677. Lithuania's Giedre Valgemäe captured the title and €5,690 after a four-way deal at the final table, adding the Queens of Tallinn crown to an impressive run of results.
The festival has continued to grow since its inaugural edition in 2023, when 65 players entered the Main Event. That number increased to 85 entries in 2024 before climbing to 96 last year.
The atmosphere has become just as much a calling card as the poker itself, with players from across Northern Europe returning each year for a festival built around competition, community, and inclusion.
A Bigger €555 Queens of Tallinn Main Event
The showstopper of the festival is the €555 Queens of Tallinn 2026 Main Event, which gets underway on Friday, August 28.
The tournament will play nine levels on Day 1 before returning on Saturday, where the field will battle down to the final nine players. The final table takes place on Sunday, August 30, and, in keeping with festival tradition, will once again be broadcast on a livestream.
The buy-in has increased from €350 to €555, making this year's edition the biggest Main Event in festival history.
Players unable to buy directly into the Main Event can still qualify through a series of online satellites, with daily Queens Centrolls on Olybet Poker feeding into weekly satellite finals that award Main Event seats.
PokerNews Queens Crown Returns, Side Events and 24/7 Cash Games
Another tournament sure to attract plenty of attention is the €200 PokerNews Queens Crown Deepstack, which takes place on Saturday, August 29, at 2:30 p.m.
The women-only tournament features 30,000 starting chips and 20-minute blind levels.
The event made its debut at last year's festival and quickly became one of the schedule's standout tournaments, highlighting PokerNews' continued support of women's poker.
While the Main Event may be the headline attraction, the festival schedule offers something for every type of player.
The four-day series includes deepstack tournaments, bounty events, mixed games, turbo events, satellites, and even an open-field Win TV Series tournament.
Cash game players won't be left out either, with 24/7 cash games open to all players throughout the festival.

The Team Challenge Returns
One of the most distinctive features of Queens of Tallinn is the three-player Team Challenge.
Teams earn points by competing in women-only events across the festival, with additional points awarded for cashing. The format encourages players to support one another throughout the series and has become one of the festival's most popular traditions.
