Poker's premier power couple are now Solana representatives as Alex Foxen and Kristen Foxen both announced this week that they are teaming up with the crypto patflorm and the World Series of Poker ahead of WSOP Paradise.

In a post on X, Alex Foxen, one of the top high-stakes pros in the world, wrote that he was partnering with Solana "as they team up with WSOP to make buying into tournaments with crypto a smoother process, starting at WSOP Bahamas."

"Cool to see some real progress on this front," Alex Foxen wrote on Friday.

In a separate post, six-time bracelet winner Kristen Foxen shared her excitement about partnering with the crypto platform.

"Anyone who's played poker internationally knows what a headache moving money around for tournament buy-ins can be," she wrote. "Solana is teaming up with WSOP to make buying into WSOP Bahamas with crypto easier than ever!"

Both Foxens had spectacular summers at the WSOP in Las Vegas and are looking to now put up results in the Bahamas. Alex Foxen won his fourth bracelet and $594,246 in $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty, while Kristen Foxen went on to have a career-defining victory in $25,000 High Roller for $1.7 million.

And Alex Foxen has good reasons to play at WSOP Paradise as he sits third in the Player of the Year race with 3,381 points behind Naoya Kihara (3,388 points) and two-time POY Shaun Deeb (3,410).

A few deep runs in the Bahamas could put Alex Foxen in front and win him his first WSOP POY title. He's had success there before, having won the $100,000 Triton Main Event at 2024 WSOP Paradise for $3.9 million and his third bracelet.

As part of Solana's partnership with the WSOP, players will be able to avoid lines and fees by buy in with crypto using Solana Pay.

It is a simple process and only takes a handful of steps. Here's how it works:

  • Download the WSOP Live app.
  • Create an account.
  • Navigate to the "2026 WSOP Paradise" tab.
  • Select event and tap "Register" in top right corner.
  • Acknowledge the terms and conditions.
  • Select Solana as payment method.
  • Purchase your tournament ticket.

For players planning on grinding full schedules, skipping lines and avoiding fees can mean saving minutes or hours of time and hundreds or thousands of dollars. As fellow Solana ambassador Jamie Gold put it, "The less time that we waste, the more value that we have in our life."

And, as Alex Foxen noted in his post, it poses a solution to the age-old poker problem of moving large amounts of cash across international borders.

WSOP Paradise will take place Dec. 2-17 at the luxurious Baha Mar resort, culminating with the $26,000 Super Main Event with a $50 million guarantee.
