$2.7 Million Monster Series is Heading to partypoker
In a time when online poker sites seem almost obsessed with offering high stakes tournaments to their customers, partypoker is bucking the trend with the launch of the second edition of its Monster Series.
The Monster Series is partypoker’s online poker festival created with micro and mid-stakes players in mind. Featuring 41 numbered events and a total of 123 different tournaments over eight days from Apr. 29 to May 6, the Monster Series gives partypoker customers the opportunity to play for large prize pools for investments ranging between $0.44 and $33. Guarantees for this edition of Monster Series add up to $2.7 million despite the low buy-ins.
partypoker has, following feedback from its players, devised a Monster Series schedule that focuses on no-limit hold’em tournaments played on six-handed and eight-handed tables with some progressive knockout tournaments (PKO) thrown in for good measure. Each of the eight days has a different theme based on the three formats mentioned.

There will be a trio of flagship tournaments taking place at 7:00 p.m. CET each day during the Monster Series festival that have low buy-ins and large guarantees. These guarantees do seem a tad ambitious, but that only means there will be extra value for partypoker’s players.

These have buy-ins of $1.50, $7.50 and $33 with guarantees of $55, $2,000 and $5,000 respectively. Expect the likes of Team partypoker’s Kristen Bicknell, Natalia Breviglieri, Louise Butler, Day Kotoviezy, Luiza Simao, Beata Jambrik and Deborah Vanneste take to the tables during these tournaments.
