Players looking for a last-minute route into the €1,150 Irish Open Main Event will get one of their biggest opportunities of the year later this month as Paddy Power Poker prepares to run its flagship online satellite.

The site will host a €100 buy-in satellite guaranteeing 25 seats to the Irish Open Main Event on Wednesday, March 25, just one day before the festival begins in Dublin.

With the Irish Open widely regarded as one of the most popular stops on the European poker calendar, the satellite has become a staple on the Paddy Power Poker schedule. Last year’s edition comfortably exceeded expectations, generating 35 Main Event tickets, and another strong turnout is expected in 2026.

€100 Satellite Guarantees 25 Irish Open Seats

The satellite guarantees 25 seats, meaning at least €28,750 worth of Main Event entries will be awarded.

With the Irish Open Main Event priced at €1,150 (roughly $1,250), the satellite gives players the chance to secure a seat for a fraction of the cost.

The satellite begins at 7 p.m. GMT on March 25 and features:

  • Buy-in: €100
  • Guarantee: 25 x €1,150 Irish Open seats
  • Starting stack: 10,000 chips
  • Level length: 10 minutes
  • Late registration: 12 levels (approximately two hours)

Password Freeroll Offers Another Shot at the Satellite

Before the satellite gets underway, Paddy Power Poker is also hosting a password-protected freeroll that feeds directly into the €100 qualifier.

The freeroll runs earlier in the evening and awards at least three €100 satellite tokens, giving players a chance to enter the 25-seat satellite without paying the buy-in.

Freeroll details:

  • Date: March 25
  • Start time: 18:00
  • Prize pool: 3 x €100 satellite tokens
  • Password: Power

The timing of the satellite means players can secure their seat just hours before the Irish Open festival begins, making it one of the final online qualification opportunities available.

The Irish Open remains one of poker’s longest-running festivals and regularly attracts huge international fields for its €1,150 Main Event, along with a packed schedule of side events, satellites, and cash games.
