Mario Boos is a French poker player who is best known for reaching the final table of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event. Boos entered the final table with 44,000,000 chips, enough for sixth place.

According to The Hendon Mob Database, Boos has 66 in-the-money finishes between June 2018 and July 2026. The prize money from those results add up to just shy of $240,000, with a $54,659 top prize included.
Between 2018 and 2024, most of Boos' results came from tournaments with a $500 or less buy-in. His breakthrough result was a sixth-place finish in a €380 Italian poker Sport Main Event in January 2025, which came with a career-best €52,500 ($54,659) payday, his first five-figure haul.
In April 2026, Boos won a Swiss Poker Series Montreux Main Event for the equivalent of $49,481. After four cashes at the 2026 WSOP and a final table appearance in an $800 buy-in tournament at the Aria Las Vegas, Boos entered the 2026 WSOP Main Event. He is now guaranteed a $1 million score.

Boos chose Day 1d as his starting flight, and it went quite poorly, with Boos finishing with 27,000 chips from a 60,000 starting stack. He recovered over the next couple of days, ending Day 3 with 912,000 chips before dropping to 800,000 on Day 4.
Day 5 went spectacularly well for the Frenchman, with him going from 800,000 chips to a cool 7,850,000 and sixth place on the leaderboard.
Due to his relatively unknown status, Boos continued flying under the radar, but caught everyone's attention when his aces held against the snowmen of Erick Mossinger during Day 6. Boos continued his climb when his queens melted Brian Roelke's pocket eights.
At the unofficial final table, Boos' pocket tens held in a substantial pot against the ace-king of Han Feng. He peaked at around 48,000,000 before bagging 44,000,000 at the close of play.
Shortly after reaching the final table, Boos told PokerNews that he planned to fly home and then spend the next three weeks resting, going to the gym, and studying for the final table.
