Rami Hammoud

Rami Hammoud is a Canadian poker player hailing from Montreal.

He made it to the final table of the 2026 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event, and started second in chips. However, he would have to settle for sixth place and a payout of $1,750,000.

Hammoud has live tournament cashes dating back to November 2012, with most of his results stemming from tournaments in his native Canada. His first big score came in March 2023, when he won the C$1,150 buy-in Main Event during the Playground March Million festival, a result worth C$166,000 ($123,386).

At the 2024 WSOP, Hammoud cashed in 13 events (including online tournaments), with a fifth-place finish in the $500 Salute to Warriors being his deepest run. He racked up another 10 cashes at the 2025 WSOP.

Having drawn a blank during the 2026 WSOP, Hammoud navigated his way to the final table of the $10,000 Main Event No-Limit Hold'em World Championship.

Hammoud began his quest for WSOP Main Event glory on Day 1c. His opening day was a grind, and he ended with only 2,000 more chips than the starting stack. However, from that point on, Hammoud increased his stack by the close of play on each subsequent day.

Day 6 was when Hammoud soared toward the chip counts' summit. He ended Day 5 with 2,630,000 chips but his stack at the end of Day 6 had swelled to 17,400,000. He eliminated Darren Rabinowitz with ace-jack versus ace-king before winning a huge pot against Shreesh Hebbar when he caught two pair on the river and called a large raise.

He also clashed with eventual chip leader Lucas Jumalon in a hand where he had turned a straight and got maximum value after Jumalon used two of his six time-bank extensions.

Hammoud started the penultimate day second in chips and maintained his lofty position throughout the day's play, finishing with 79,000,000 chips and second place in the chip counts.
