Sam Soverel is an American poker player from Florida who has amassed more than $31 million in live tournament earnings, putting him second on the state's all-time money list behind Sean Winter. Soverel is a four-time WSOP champion.

Born on August 3, 1990, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Soverel developed a passion for strategy games and poker during his teenage years. Soverel is regarded as one of the best "all-around" players in the world, specifically excelling in the PokerGO Tour (PGT) and High Roller circuits.
Early in his poker career, Soverel finished second in the 2011 $3,500 WPT Jacksonville Main Event for $187,762.
Soverel quickly moved up in stakes and now primarily plays a high roller schedule. In October 2016, Soverel took down a $100,000 Aria Super High Roller for just over a million, his biggest tournament score to date. That year, he also won his first WSOP bracelet, taking down the $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event for $185,317.
In 2019, he won the Poker Masters Main Event en-route to winning the Purple Jacket. He secured two wins and seven cashes worth $1,396,800 over the course of the festival.
The Floridian became a two-time WSOP champion in 2023. Soverel triumphed in the $5,300 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller Championship online event for $393,516.
The following year, Soverel famously took down the $10,300 NAPT High Roller having partied all night, eventually coming out on top for $385,750.
2025 was a marquee year for Soverel, winning his third and fourth bracelets as well as securing the largest cash of his career. He first won the $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed Championship for $986,337 and his third WSOP bracelet.
In October, he finished runner-up in the Super High Roller Bowl: $100,000 Pot-Limit Omaha and followed that up just two months later with a fourth bracelet, a first Triton title, and the largest cash of his career. He topped a 103-player field to win the Triton $100,000 PLO Main Event for $2,594,000 at WSOP Paradise.
