Lopez Wins Free Calls

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Jose Lopez has one of the bigger chip-stacks in the room, but he also now has a spot prize, after becoming the only player to have enjoyed the special thrill of having a Royal Flush!

Organisers 888Poker very kindly put an iPhone 6S up for grabs if anyone could showdown with a Royal Flush including at least one card, and on a board of {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, Jose Lopez held {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} to win the pot and the prize!

Jose Lopez may have the best spot prize so far, but Sam Grafton has the chip lead as he approaches a million chips.

Mizrachi Flipped Out

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Mizrachi has busted the 888Poker London Live Main Event. The American, known as 'The Grinder', has finally been ground down himself.

Down to a short-stack of 100,000 chips, Mizrachi held {A-}{Q-} and was flipping against pocket sevens. He couldn't hit and unfortunately for him and his fans here on the rail, he couldn't hit and departs.

Souki Hits Quads to Double Through Hayward

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Philippe Souki is right back contention after getting a little fortunate.

"OK, I hit a two-outer," Souki says with a smile.

Souki was all-in pre-flop and against Luke Hayward's pocket jacks. Souki had {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and needed the help he got. While he is back in contention for the biggest prizes, Hayward is short-stacked and in need of a double...

Hayward Pushes Li Off the Pot

Level 17 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Luke Hayward made it 20,000 from the hijack position and Ka Him Li made it 40,000 from the small blind. Hayward called to a flop of {2-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Li made it 38,000 and Hayward made the call. The turn of {3-Hearts} and this time, Hayward was the aggressor, betting 45,000 after Li checked. Li let it go, and Luke Hayward, so short at the beginning of Day, has over 425,000 with which to try and make his second final table of the week after getting all the way to the final of the High Roller.

Grafton Takes Some of Scott's Chips

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Sam Grafton and Kara Scott clashed in a big pot. The flop of {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} arrived with 53,000 in the pot already, and Kara Scott made it 18,000 to see a turn from the hijack position. Grafton called from the cut-off and the turn was {7-Hearts}. Scott checked, but Grafton made it 83,000. Scott called.

The river was a {4-Clubs} and Grafton, checked to again, made it 210,000. It would be two thirds of Scott's remaining chips to call and she elected to pass. She was right too, as the stream revealed that while Kara Scott had {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Grafton held pocket eights and had flopped middle set.

Del Piero In Charge

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante

Enzo Del Piero opened to 21,000 from the button, and got two callers in the small blind and big blind.

The flop of {4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs} came down and Del Piero's c-bet of 28,000 got through. The London-based player is up to 540,000 and has been consistently well above average since that earlier pot when his sevens held in a three-way all-in.

Other British poker heavyweights Charles Chattha and Kevin Allen are both doing very well too, with each man over 400,000 chips and in cruise control. Who will make the final day?
