Evard Busts Erhan

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Constantin Erhan got his short stack in with the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Francois Evard had an easy call with {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The board ran out {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Erhan found no help to join the rail.

More Early Casualties

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Judd Feeling like a King

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Matthew Judd got off to the ideal start to his Day 2. Coming into play a little over starting stack, it was vital for him to get an early double-up and that's exactly what happened when he got himself all-in pre-flop with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} against his opponent's {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

The board ran dry for Judd to double himself back into contention, and he shares a table with Stacy Matuson today.

Two Casualties on Table Six

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Andrej Desset
Andrej Desset

Ange Besnainou was one of the new entries before the start of Day 2 and just shipped it in with the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Marco Regonaschi called with the {A-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} out of the blinds and the board ran out {K-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. In fact, Regonaschi called for the six before the river and got exactly what he asked for.

Soon after, Andrej Desset three-bet shoved his short stack of 30,000 with pocket sixes and Joaquim Aribau Cano in the small blind reshoved with pocket tens to hold up.

Khuu Gets some off Podovei

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

On the {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, Gabriel Podovei checked out of the big blind and Chuc Khuu bet 7,000 on the button, which Podovei called. The {5-Spades} turn was checked and Podovei also checked the {9-Diamonds} river. Khuu bet 15,000 and Podovei quickly called, then mucked when Khuu flashed {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

Munoz Gone Early On

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Ramon Miquel Munoz
Ramon Miquel Munoz

Two of the new entries immediately busted and one of them was Ramon Miquel Munoz. The Spaniard got his stack in with {3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} on a flop {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Jose Alberto Lopez Gonzalez looked him up with the {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. The {8-Spades} turn and {J-Hearts} river failed to improve Munoz and he was eliminated.

Another early casualty was Dominique Terzian, who started the day with less than the starting stack.

Filosek Flips In

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Mariusz Filosek only registered today, but a couple of hands into play, moved all-in pre-flop for 31,700. He was called by Gregor Waltermann in late position and the two men were racing for a 65,000 chip pot.

Gregor Waltermann: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Mariusz Filosek: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The board of {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{5-Hearts} gave Filosek the win, but not without a sweat as Waltermann turned an open straight draw. It amounted to nothing, however, and after starting the day with over treble his opponent's chips, Waltermann now only has marginally more than Filosek.

Eight New Entries for Day 2

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Among the eight new entries were four players that already fired at least one bullet and that also includes Michael Mizrachi. The total number of entries appears to be 609 of which 205 currently remain.
