Kassouf Doubles; Hanna Busts

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Just after the bubble burst, William Kassouf doubled through Jonas Kannosto post flop with aces against pocket nines.

Kannosto just took revenge on Elias Hanna and turned over {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Hanna only had {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and the board ran out {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}.

Langrock and Martinez Perez Eliminated

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Sebastian Langrock was the first casualty and he was soon followed by Javier Martinez Perez. The Spaniard was short all in and both Luigi Shehadeh and Francesc Mateu Munoz Bieto called.

On the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop both players checked and Munoz Bieto check-raised the {Q-Clubs} turn from 21,000 to 76,000, which Shehadeh called. After the {K-Diamonds} river, Munoz Bieto check-called a bet worth 82,500. Shehadeh flipped over {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for a full house and Munoz Bieto mucked {J-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a straight. Martinez briefly showed his cards and exited.

Murillo Parda is Bubble Boy

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

We told you that the bubble may not last long, and while we're paid to count chips and the pros riffle them, we were on point.

David Murillo Parda "hadn't played a hand in the last hour" according to one of his former tablemates, but he will play no more in this tournament after moving all-in for 69,000 over the top of chip leader Jose Manuel Planells Castillo's open to 17,000 in early position. The chip leader was never going to fold and it was a classic race.

Jose Manuel Planells Castillo: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
David Murillo Parda: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The board of {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} never really got Murillo Parda's hopes up, and he departed rapidly. Castillo has a massive shot at this 888Live Barcelona Main Event tile now and is even watching the live Twitch stream of the feature table i case he gets moved there. What's Spanish for dedication? Oh, yes, it's Jose Manuel Planells Castillo.

On the Bubble

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Play is now hand-for-hand as the tournament director has just announced that play is on the bubble.

While there might be a little slow-down, if play is anywhere near at fast-paced as it has been in the tournament so far, the bubble could pop very quickly indeed.

Aguilar Busts to Lazzaretto

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Just before the money bubble, Edgar Casanova raised and Bruno Aguilar shoved for more than 170,000. Filippo Lazzaretto called from one seat over with the {A-Spades}{k-Spades} and Casanova folded. Aguilar showed pocket kings and an ace on the river sent Aguilar to the rail just shy of the money.

Kassouf Doubles With Quads

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

William Kassouf got his last 63,000 in preflop and Edgar Casanova called before Bruno Aguilar reshoved from one seat over to isolate.

Bruno Aguilar: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
William Kassouf: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Kassouf asked for the three of hearts on the flop and got the {6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} for good measure, instantly making quads. The {2-Diamonds} turn and {2-Hearts} river were blanks and Kassouf tripled.

Then, Elias Hanna raised and called the shove of Aguilar with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Aguilar had {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} and doubled for 83,000 thanks to a board of {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Clubs}.

Hall Set Up

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Cate Hall in jovial mood on Day 2...but Okolowitz had the goods in the latest hand.
Cate Hall in jovial mood on Day 2...but Okolowitz had the goods in the latest hand.

Cate Hall in the big blind called Herbert Okolowitz's opening bet to 15,000 from early position.

The flop of {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} was checked by both players, but on the {3-Clubs} turn, Hall bet 38,000 and was called by Okolowitz. The river of {10-Hearts} saw Hall check and so too did Okolowitz. Hall turned over {10-Clubs}{J-Spades} for top pair, but Okolowitz had {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} for the flopped set.

Hernandez Chops to Build Stack

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Samuel Hernandez was all in and at risk for 77,500 preflop and received the calls from Ivan Lutsiv in late position and Stacy Matuson on the button. On the {7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades} flop both players checked. Lutsiv then check-called a bet of 60,000 on the {A-Diamonds} turn before the {3-Clubs} river went check, check.

Matuson showed {A-Spades}{K-Spades} and Hernandez turned over {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}, Lutsiv mucked {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs},

Sardone Always Bluffing?

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

The completed board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades} was staring at Marwan Salamoun, but so too was Alessio Sardone. Staring hard after betting all-in on the river for a huge stack, way more than Salamoun had left.

"You always bluff like this." said Salamoun, "But I can't call."

"If you fold, I'll show the nuts. If you call, I'll show the bluff." quipped Sardone.

In the end, Salamoun folded, living to fight another day. Sardone, amused, folded.
