For the first time in 888Live Tournaments Aspers is using a Shot Clock for the Main Event. The way it works is once the dealer has dealt the last card in a hand they operate the timer and the 'Shot Clock' begins and each player will be given a 30 seconds to act.
If a player is facing a bet or raise, the timer will begin only after their chips are counted and the number of chips required to call are stated. Players also have two Time Bank Chips, each of which will add an extra 60 seconds to the timer in the event that they need more time to reach a decision. You can read more about the Shot Clock here.
So far 53 players have made it through to Day 2 and today is likely to be the busiest day so far but don’t be late as there is a prize give away that should not be missed

Fraser MacIntyre, CEO of Main Event Travel which is the Official Travel Partner for the 888Live London Festival, is playing the Main Event today.
MacIntyre was due to play 1b yesterday but a few Peronis after a meeting at Aspers was a bit too enjoyable and the 4 a.m. finish was a bit daunting.
MacIntyre declared himself fit and raring to go today though.
MainEventTravel.com are the premier travel site for the poker industry, offering hotel packages to any tour stop or festival, anywhere in the world!
Their motto is “The Trip Leader” so can MacIntyre end the day as chip leader?
