Team 888Poker Ambassador Parker “Tonkaaaa” Talbot is through to the final day of theLondon Poker Festival Main Event as the sole surviving Ambassador with 453,000 in chips.

Talbot was left flying the flag for Team 888Poker as the Twitch king spent most of the day under the heat of the feature table lights and the glare of the delayed stream and then hopped into the commentary booth on his breaks to help David Tuchman with some hand analysis.

Registration closed as soon as play started and the prize pool was announced as a guarantee breaking £427,730.The winner will receive £88,888 and the trophy while 45 places would be paid with a min-cash worth £2,365.

Some of the notables who busted short of the money included 2017 WSOP Main Event 4th Place finisher John Hesp, Niall Farrell, Ludovic Geilich, Alex Goulder, Tiffany Michelle and Steve Watts.

The bubble, when it arrived, took over an hour to burst and it was Patrice Alan Brandt on the button who moved all in with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for just three big blinds. Shah Athar was in the big blind called with {k-Spades}{9-Spades}. The board ran out {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and the remaining players were all in the money.

Play resumes at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16 and will continue until a new champion is crowned.

The ladies event went into the early hours and Sarah Grant had a look at what made it so special.

Hall and Hesp

It looks as if Tom Hall has edged into the lead in the final level of the night.

That is a pretty remarkable feat as Hall late regged Day 1c with minutes to spare and was handed a 15 big blind stack for his £1,100.

With 20 players left Hall has now locked up a minimum of £3,970.

Carnage In the Ladies Event

Level 19 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

The board read {3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} and 888Poker Ambassador Sofia Lovgren was facing a bet and had moved all in against her opponent.

Somehow a while load of chips had got into Lovgren’s wine glass and the floor was called to make a ruling. It was not clear if there was a page in the Poker TDA rules for this particular scenario and confusion reigned for a while.

The situation was somewhat rescued when Sin Melin produced another glass for Lovgren as the floor was fishing the slightly damp chips from her glass.

Her opponent declared she could not fold {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} and folded but to her dismay saw Lovgren had out flopped her with {a-Spades}{3-Diamonds} giving her two pair which held until the river.

There are currently 16 players left in the Ladies event.
