Emanuel Fernandez Eliminated in 3rd Place ($82,000 BRL)

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante
Emanuel Fernandez
Emanuel Fernandez

A big pot began to brew right after Aziz's elimination. We caught the action on the turn with the board reading {10-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and already 2,500,000 in the pot. Emanuel Fernandez was first to act and he checked. Guilherme Cazula was in position and he bet 1,500,000.

Fernandez asked Cazula how much he had behind, then opted to move all in for 3,900,000 total. Cazula thought briefly then called the shove.

Cazula: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Fernandez: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Cazula was well in the lead with his high card and the two pair on the board and Fernandez could only catch up with a seven on the river. The river was the {4-Hearts} and that would do it for Fernandez. After the hand, Cazula explained that he had a read on Fernandez and he wanted to trust his gut. That read would lead him to heads up play against Haroldo Silva as Fernandez hit the rail in 3rd place.

Daniel Aziz Eliminated in 4th Place ($52,000 BRL)

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante

Daniel Aziz open shoved from the button for right around 2,500,000. Next to act was Haroldo Silva. He stood up from his chair and counted his chips before stealing Aziz's all-in button and putting in front of his own stack, announcing he was all in. The big blind folded so the two headed to a showdown.

Silva: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Aziz: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The board came {A-Clubs}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and that kept Silva in the lead the whole way, and Aziz was eliminated from the tournament in 4th place.

Aziz Gets A Shove Through

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 25,000 ante

Emanuel Fernandez limped on the button and Daniel Aziz checked his option from the big blind.

On the {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop Aziz checked to Fernandez. Fernandez put out a bet of 225,000. Aziz check-raised all in for roughly 2,100,000. Fernandez tanked for a while, then decided to fold. Both players agreed to show. Aziz was holding {9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} while Fernandez had the best hand at the moment with {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. That allowed Aziz to take down the pot.

Cazula Recovers

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Emanuel Fernandez raised to 320,000 from the cutoff and was called by Guilherme Cazula on the button.

The flop was {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Fernandez checked. Cazula bet 300,000 and Fernandez called.

On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Fernandez checked again. Cazula bet 515,000 which Fernandez called.

Both players checked on the {K-Spades} river. Fernandez showed {J-Spades}{9-Clubs} but Cazula had him beat with {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and that allowed him to take down the pot and recover some of what he lost earlier.

Silva Hits River To Double

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Haroldo Silva has been in the habit of open shoving what seems like every other hand. Finally, after about his 7th shove, Guilherme Cazula called him down from the big blind. Silva was all in for just about 2,500,000 and Cazula had a covering stack.

Cazula: {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Silva: {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}

The flop was safe for Cazula when it came {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. The {J-Clubs} on the turn was safe as well. But the {Q-Hearts} on the river was just the miracle that Silva needed to stay alive and it allowed him to double to just over 5,000,000 chips.

It took a while for the fifth place finisher to be found, but in the end it was Mauro Tabarin who was the next to fall.

From the small blind, Emanuel Fernandez shoved all in with covering stack. Tabarin thought for a while then called.

Fernandez: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Tabarin: {A-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and that kept Fernandez in the lead and allowed him to scoop the pot as Tabarin hit the rail in 5th place.

Fernandez's Turn To Double

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

From the cutoff, Emanuel Fernandez open shoved all in for 2,100,000. Daniel Aziz quickly called from the big blind.

Aziz: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Fernandez: {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}

Aziz was a huge favorite but the {A-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop changed everything. The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} changing nothing and the {3-Spades} on the river changed nothing as well. That allowed Fernandez to double up while Aziz was left with one of the short stacks.
