D'Amore Busts One

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

On the {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} turn, the stacks of Domenico D'Amore and his opponent went into the middle and the Italian had a stronghold in the hand, having tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for the nut straight. His opponent was at risk for around 10,000 with the {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and needed running cards to avoid elimination. The {9-Hearts} turn and the {6-Diamonds} river were not sufficient and D'Amore raked in the pot.

Cox Flops Flush; Doesn't Win

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

A big clash happened over on table four when Mark Cox and Huseyin Houssein got their stacks in with the flop showing {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Cox was ahead with the {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and Houssein held the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} for the overpair and nut flush draw. The {5-Diamonds} turn left Cox with one out, and the {3-Spades} river reduced the stack of Cox to around 6,000.

"On the turn you could get away with it," Houssein said.

In the meanwhile, Albert Sapiano has busted for a second time and sent his stack over to High Roller finalist Carlos Sanchez Diaz.

Ronit Chamani has also bought back in, which makes it two re-entries in the second level of the day with 64 players seated.

Haward and Louis On Board

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The field is growing further and two familiar faces could be found among the most recent entries. Luke Haward can always be identified quite easily, as he tends to wear very colorful clothes, and today is no different. The other notable is Leon Louis, who sat down over on table five to make it even more of a feature table.

Schuman Kicks Off the Fireworks

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

On a four-way flop of {10-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Jonathan Schuman bet 500 from middle position and was called by Glen Garaway in the under-the-gun position only. Garaway check-called a bet of 1,000 on the {4-Diamonds} turn and check-raised the {2-Diamonds} river from 2,000 to 6,000.

Schuman let his Action Clock run down to one second and then reraised to 23,000, which won the pot without showdown.

Sapiano Loses One; Niskanen Enters

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

As expected, Albert Sapiano has been involved in most of the early pots. One of them saw him invest 1,000 on the {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and he then checked the {9-Spades} turn. His opponent then made it 2,000 to go and Sapiano folded.

Tuomo Niskanen has entered half-way through the first level of the day. The Finn, usually found at the online poker tables, has already had a decent score in the current year and re-entered after having busted yesterday's first flight.
