Winsor Doubles Through Mizrachi

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Benjamin Winsor
Benjamin Winsor

On the {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop, Benjamin Winsor checked in the cutoff and called a bet of 8,000 by Michael Mizrachi. The {2-Hearts} followed on the turn and Winsor checked once more, then reluctantly called a bet of 10,000.

After the {8-Spades} river, Winsor counted his remaining chips and checked. Mizrachi plunked in a bet of 35,000, which covered Winsor, and the Brit eventually called. Mizrachi showed the {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a bluff and Winsor doubled for 23,900 with the {J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}.

Park Wins a BIG Pot

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The likely biggest pot of Day 1b just took place over on table two and Jun Young Park was on the fortunate end of a big clash when he put all his hopes on the nut flush draw, holding {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. His opponent had flopped top set with {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} on {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, and the {3-Spades} turn and {J-Diamonds} river let Park double.

Jonathan Schuman has vanished and Michael Mizrachi added further chips to his stack.

Grinding it Up

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi has become a hot contender for a big stack after suddenly showing up with more than five times the starting stack over on table three. With now 48 players remaining in the penultimate level of the night, it would not be much of a surprise to see Mizrachi near the top of the counts upon bagging and tagging.

Muehloecker Takes From Loeser

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Table two features the High Roller regulars Manig Loeser, Thomas Muehloecker and Orpen Kisacikoglu, and the former two just battled in a bigger pot.

In a battle of the blinds, Loeser checked the {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop and called a bet of 5,200 by Muehloecker. After the {2-Hearts} turn, Loeser check-called another 9,700 and then used one time bank on the {8-Spades} river before leading for 24,500. Muehloecker also needed a time bank and called, which prompted Loeser to tap the table in defeat with the words "you are good."

Loeser revealed {A-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives and Muehloecker had that beat with {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts} for a pair of sevens.

Niskanen and Lee Eliminated

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Nicholas Lee
Nicholas Lee

Damian Brookes Bell raised and Nicholas Lee three-bet all in for the last 16,100, which was called by Bell.

Lee turned over the {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and had a flip against {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. The board came {10-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and Bell got there on the river to send Lee to the rail.

One table over, Iaron Lightbourne raised and Toni Ojala called. Tuomo Niskanen three-bet to 10,500 and that forced out big stack Lightbourne. Ojala had other plans and moved all in, Niskanen called it off in a battle of the Finns.

Tuomo Niskanen: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Toni Ojala: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

The board came {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and the kicker played to eliminate Niskanen.
