Barkay Busts Robbiano; Balzano Falls to Camarda

Ali Polat was missing from table 16 as Salvatore Camarda occupied his seat and another two players would bust in consecutive hands soon after Camarda had been moved there.

Pietro Robbiano opened and picked up a caller in Benjamin Barkay on the button. Robbiano bet the flop for 3,000 and Barkay raised to 9,000, which Robbiano called. On the turn, Robbiano check-shoved for more than 45,000 and Barkay reluctantly called after nearly two minutes.

Gregori Scoops a Pot

Gurrutxaga Busts Once More

Jon Gurrutxaga peaked at more than 110,000 not too long ago, then dropped to around half of that. Just now, he was involved in a preflop war with big stack Jai Saha and three-bet only for Saha to four-bet shove.

A "Big Gift" for Lootsma

Yaron Ben Avi was no longer seated and Werner Lootsma was sitting behind a big stack, which prompted fellow Dutchman Teunis Kooij to mention "it was a gift, an early Christmas gift."

According to Kooij, Lootsma had three-bet to 9,000 on the button and Ben Avi then four-bet shoved in the multi-way pot for 60,000 with ace-ten. Lootsma called with queens and held up to join the big stacks.

In the next hand, Lootsma raised to 2,300 and Francesco Di Profio called from one seat over. Lootsma continued for 3,000 on the flop and was called, which prompted a second barrel and call on the turn. The river was checked and they both showed king-queen to chop it up.
