After three starting days and 12 levels of 45 minutes each, the flagship event of the 2019 888poker LIVE Barcelona festival at the Casino Barcelona has seen a field of 542 entries emerge for the €1,100 Main Event. The guaranteed prize pool of €550,000 has not been reached just yet, however, the registration remains open until the cards go in the air for Day 2 as of 3 p.m. local time.
The penultimate tournament day will start with tables in the Cotton Candy room and secondary area near the sports bar, and will break into the Cotton Candy room that also hosts the feature table. As of the first break, the action on said feature table will be broadcast on a security delay of 30 minutes with hole cards displayed and can be followed on the 888poker YouTube channel and Facebook page.

All new entries for Day 2 will receive 30,000 in chips and the action recommences in level 13 with blinds of 1,000/2,500 with a 2,500 big blind ante. As of today, the level duration increases to 60 minutes and will remain as long until a champion is crowned the following day.
While many eyes are already fully focused on the 2019 World Series of Poker, 888poker has come up with a special promotion for all those that made the trip to Barcelona. The winner of the €1,100 Main Event will receive a $12,600 package for the trip to Las Vegas in order to participate in the elusive $10,000 Main Event.
Leading the 157 survivors into the penultimate day is Italy's Demetrio Caminita, who ended Day 1a with an overwhelming chip lead of 426,000. Second in chips is fellow countryman Andrea Salamone with 302,500 and Maksims Gorbacs rounds up the top three with 268,500. Another Italian is in fourth place overall in Italo Martin Palao Modena (256,500), and other big stacks include the Bounty Event champion Michail Tastanis (243,000), Luca Marchetti (233,000) and Jesus Cortes (218,500).
Cortes has had a good festival already, as he took down the €2,200 High Roller and Sonny Franco finished second. Franco also made Day 2 and will return with an above-average stack of 144,000.
Three 888poker ambassadors have advanced as well with 2014 WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson leading the pack with 152,000. Chris Moorman follows not far behind with 121,000 and Sofia Lovgren has 18 big blinds at her disposal, she will return with 45,000.
