Four levels in a row after the dinner break would have been three hours of play, and that was considered as too long. As a result, a short 10-minute break has been added after the end of level 10 and the screens show 117 players out of 262 entries remaining. Another two 45-minute levels will decide who makes it through to Day 2.
A shorter stack had been already all in and three players remained active. A bet by Raul van Boxtel on the river forced folds from Pietro Robbiano and the fourth player in the hand, and van Boxtel turned over for the back door flush to secure the knockout, the short stack had for top pair.
"Did you see that? He called with king-eight and one spade on the flop," Robbiano said, half in Spanish, half in Italian. Robbiano and van Boxtel are both above the average with fewer than half the field remaining.
